R. Gallery is a recent frugal project in Sliema where an office space was transformed into an adaptive and flexible art space by the installation of moving walls and bespoke furniture pieces. Originally built as a British military hostel at the turn of the 20th century, the original art nouveau edifice has been transformed from a place of sanctuary for soldiers into a spacious host for bold contemporary art.
